A New Format for Zara Home

Zara Home Kids may be concerned with merchandise for children, but its newly opened standalone shop, in A Coruna, is aimed unequivocally at parents.

This is a store that sells a small selection of clothing and a lot of kid’s room accessories and toys and has about it the feel of a space that has been designed to appeal to grown-ups with primary colours being signally absent. In their place is a beautifully planked floor and cream walls and mid-shop display equipment with the overall feel being beige, in a good way.

That Zara Home Kids’ parent, Inditex, has come up with a new format (and it is just a few doors along the street from a recently refurbished Zara Home) shows perhaps that even the most mature retailers can still come up with something completely new, based on what is already there.

The store has a selling area of 160 sq m, big enough to house a competent range, but not so large that it overwhelms, given the nature of the stock.
