Charlotte Tilbury arrive in L.A.

As an entity, Charlotte Tilbury has only been in existence during the current decade, yet in that time both the make-up artist herself and the brand she founded have flourished in the face of what is considerable competition, albeit in a market where one of the few buoyant areas is beauty.

The Charlotte Tilbury range has been available in stores across the US for some time, but up until now it has not had a standalone shop in North America. Now that has changed and a store has opened bearing the brand’s logo in The Grove, a fashionable shopping complex in Los Angeles.

The fascia has been cunningly painted to give the impression of a merged US and UK flag (Tilbury is British) and within there is the usual 50’s Hollywood glamour with golden palm trees and lightbulb surrounded mirrors.

A feature that is unique to this store is a rose quartz (very much in tune with the current beauty ethos) basin and tap dubbed “The Fountain of Youth”.

Tilbury looks set to run and run.
