Glossier gets Physical Once More
It’s been a while since you could walk into a physical store with the name Glossier above the door, but from tomorrow this will be possible once more. The beauty brand is set to welcome shoppers into a 6,200 sq ft store in Seattle (where there has previously been a Glossier pop-up), as part of a renewed push to join the bricks and mortar ranks, while at the same time remaining a cult name online.
The new store is, predictably, dusty pink, within and without. Practically, this means the window frames of this light-coloured brick shopfront are in the brand colour, while inside the store the square arches (used to divided up the interior) and mid-shop furniture are also part of the same palette.
As before, this store will be about melding the online and the physical with much of the customer transactional side of things set to be conducted via screens, whether on a user’s handset on an in-store device.
Another Glossier store will open in the coming months in Los Angeles with a London outpost set to follow ahead of the festive season.
