Glossier is Greener in Seattle

Beauty brand Glossier has been pretty successful at attracting a lot of attention from just a couple of stores: a flagship in New York and an outpost in Los Angeles. Now a 102 sq m pop-up in Seattle can be added to the mix.

Situated on the ground floor of a building in the city’s Capitol Hill neighbourhood, this one is the result of a collaboration with landscape designer Lily Kwong and the store reflects her preoccupation with things green and out of doors.

Practically, this means a store that is a thing of mounds covered with lush greenery, ranging from Mexican moss to flowering shrubs – all of which are indigenous to Washington state. The dominant green of the store interior is contrasted by stark white walls and pine flooring and wall-mounted mirrors.

For those used to shopping the brand online (where it has its origins), the full range is available in this store, which will remain open until July 7th.
