Luxury department store Harrods has opened a 110,000 sq ft Wellness Clinic in its Knightsbridge flagship in London.
Located on the fourth floor, the extended beauty offer complements the busy ground floor beauty hall, although arriving on the fourth floor, it would be hard to know it’s there, so good is the concealment job that has been done.
Taking nearly two-thirds of the entire floor, this huge beauty space offers shoppers a range of advanced, high-tech services as well as the more traditional gym, pilates, yoga and nutrition.
If customers are feeling more adventurous, there are aesthetic treatments like spot fat reduction and body contouring. There is also a Cryo-chamber set at -92 that claims to boost recovery post-exercise as well as brightening the skin.
The interiors are mostly beechwood and marble with muted off-white lighting. The many rooms and corridors give this interior a sense of a modern sanitarium – a place where a Bond villain might feel at home.
