Lush Goes Large in Liverpool
How big can you make a store that majors, essentially, on a single product (albeit with a very significant number of variations)? For an answer, the curious might want to make a trip up to Liverpool home, since last Friday, to the world’s largest branch of Lush.
This is a store that trades from three floors across 1,380 sq m and it offers a lot of ‘bath bombs’ in a huge number of different colours and scents. That said, if you don’t like this product then the store is probably not for you. It also happens to be five times larger than the Lush outpost that was in the city prior to the arrival of this one.
The retailer claims it’s possible to get nine billion bath bombs into the space. Fortunately, perhaps, it has chosen not to do this and as well as the bath bomb wall, colour-blocked for visual effect, there is a café, a party area (something that was initially trialled in the Oxford Street flagship in London) and, on the top floor, a six room spa where a range of treatments are on offer.
There is also a display suggesting that you “Take a piece of Liverpool home with you”. In practice, this turns out to mean some Liverpool-packaged bath bombs. Should go down well.
