In-sight, the Fashion store from Miami, makes a strong statement with its white-tunnelled interiors ensuring it’s noticed in a competitive shopping environment.
Created by design agency, OHLAB, the interesting effect allows the passer-by to feel like they are looking through a pair of binoculars with everything in focus.
The store has been filled with over 20 white timber boards which have been cut into circular openings that become narrower as they reach the back of the store. This provides an illusionary image of the store that is infinite.
Each circular timber frame provides a demarcation for different product lines and provides a natural shelving space. Glass tables also sit across the boards providing additional folded product space.
The space is entirely white from floors to walls apart from the red circles on the store windows, which form the binoculars.
This is an impactful design that appears simple yet is complicated and creates new frontiers for store design.
