New look Foot Locker for Barcelona

Foot Locker has opened another store in Barcelona, its fifth. In itself this might not be worthy of comment, but at over 5,000sq ft this one is bigger, it has new tech and sustainable elements and it is intended to provide a template for future branches.

On the sustainability side the most interesting feature is probably the mannequins, which have been created from recycled sneakers. And as far as tech is concerned, this one has everything from a digital quiz for those wishing to test their knowledge of trainers, to QR codes that can be collected using a mobile device and then exchanged for product discounts.

Also worth noting is the ‘House of Hoops’, a shop-in-shop offering licensed NBA merchandise produced in collaboration with Nike.

The store is probably the most central branch in the city, being located on the Plaza Catalunya, at the heart of the Catalan Capital.
