Off-White means pink in Singapore?
As a brand, in a short time Off-White has managed to establish itself as one of the go-to fashion brands for those seeking of-the-minute style, largely thanks to the work of Victor Abloh, its CEO and creative force, who also happens to be the artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s menswear offer.
Now it has opened a second standalone store in Singapore, in the upscale Paragon mall. Measuring 141 sq m, the shop is a hot pastel pink throughout, which is curious, given the brand’s name. That said, it would be hard to fault the attention to detail, which means a space with a broad materials palette, ranging from pink marble for the floors and pink velvet curtains to pink brushed metal.
This is store stocking solely womenswear and it carries the full range of shoes, bags, accessories and clothing. Off-White pink may have an odd ring about it, but the quality of the fit-out and the displays should ensure that this does not jar with Singapore’s affluent shoppers.
