Iconic sneaker brand Converse has opened a pop-up hotel in the fashionable East London enclave that is Hoxton. Dubbed ‘The One Star Hotel’, the space is intended to unite the sneaker, skate, fashion and music communities in a five-floor building that will be open for just Friday and Saturday this weekend.

‘Guest rooms’ provide unique opportunities for digital, product and live experiences curated by Converse collaborators, including Harlem-born rapper A$AP Nast, Stockholm’s Yung Lean and New York City’s MadeMe (a fashion label run by Erin Magee).

From the outside, the building is also noteworthy, being a former warehouse that has been artfully washed in a variety of bright lights, which highlight the architecture.

This is an ironic take on the five star hotel experience and one that is perfectly in tune with its edgy location.
