Two Lush New Store Concepts
Lush, the natural cosmetics and bath bomb purveyor, has opened a pair of concept stores in Europe, in Paris and Florence. The first is called Fresh & Flowers and is in the central Le Marais district. It takes ‘fresh’ as its cue and as well as having a range of the retailer’s products for face, body and hair, it also offers locally sourced and seasonal bouquets, following the pattern set at its recently opened florist departments in Liverpool and Tokyo.
In Florence, Lush has opted to go down the library route with The Lush Perfume Library, a shop with an interior filled with dark wood, green plants and mood lighting, rather than any kind of high ambient level of illumination. This is an interior with a high luxe feel.
Both stores are examples of the way in which Lush is taking elements of its base store design and putting them to work in a different way and both show why this is a retailer that, in spite of a generally tough climate, is doing well.
