Mickey Mouse and accessories and fashion brand Coach might seem an unlikely combination, but that doesn’t mean it can’t work. Now add to that mix the work of the late US artist Keith Haring (1958 – 1990) and you have the latest mash-up aimed at those perched in front of their laptops who fancy doing a little shopping.

This is a virtual shop where the customer’s expert shopper is Mickey Mouse (decked out in Keith Haring patterns) and where a visit means wandering through five brightly coloured rooms which lead inexorably to a New York subway station where an outsize off-white Mickey Mouse statuette is positioned at the foot of the stairs.

The idea of making online shops feel like physical shops is one that is gaining currency in these Covid-19 times as we yearn to do that which feels something like normal. The Coach brand collaboration is a pop-up and it will run until the end of the month.
